THE TENTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BATTLE OF SEATTLE FOOO NOT BOMBS ACTIVISTS ORGANIZE A PROTEST TO BLOCK THE WTO MEETING IN
SEATTLE IN 1999
Food Not Bombs dedicated three years to organizing
the WTO protest in Seattle. Even though Food Not Bombs
volunteers initiated the campaign to blockade the Seattle Convention
Center during the WTO meeting in November of 1999, toured the U.S. and Canada to build support during the 1997 UnFree
Trade Tour and set up the convergence center, Indymedia, organized the food and other logistics,
you would never know it from the books and movies produced since that
historic protest.
We hope you will join us in taking direct action towards creating a world
free from domination, coercion and violence. Food is a right, not a
privilege.
