Food Not Bombs is as busy as ever with the increase in poverty and homelessness caused by the global economic crisis. Imagine how much we could do if a million people donated a dollar each to Food Not Bombs. We are doing so much with the money that has already been contributed. We are feeding thousands of people displaced by the failing economy. Along with all the food we recover we also buy huge amounts of organic rice, beans and other bulk foods. We are gathering seeds to plant in our Food Not Lawns Community Gardens and buying supplies to repair abandoned buildings for Homes Not Jails. We share thousands of vegan and vegetarian meals every week in over 1,000 communities around the world.

Please make a donation to help meet the increase need. Over 25,000 people die from hunger related causes every day and the number is growing. When the U.S. government failed to respond to Katrina, Food Not Bombs organize bus and truck loads of food and volunteers feeding the survivors in over 20 communities. We were feeding people in New Orleans less than three days after the storm hit. Because of our reputation for organizing one of America's largest food relief efforts Food Not Bombs is being asked to prepare for the current economic collapse. Imagine if a million people send in one dollar just think how much more Food Not Bombs can do!

For the past 30 years Food Not Bombs has been feeding people in hundreds of communities all over the world absolutely free of charge and without restriction. Food Not Bombs has no paid staff and is an all volunteer movement. Your contribution goes directly towards ending hunger, poverty and war. Food Not Bombs not only shares food at our weekly meals in over 1,000 cities each week we have organized and fed many actions including peace rallies, anti-globalizations protests, the School of Americas Watch, at actions in support of Native American and aboriginal land struggles, people defending the earth, and animal rights actions. We fed protesters at the Orange Revolution in the Ukraine, striking auto workers in Korea, started animal rescue shelters in 24 cities in Slovokia and fed Peace Camps on the West Bank of Palistine. We also organize Homes Not Jails actions (to house the homeless), plant community gardens through Food Not Lawns, and share information and music through the free radio movement. We provide food to the homeless and hungry, day care centers, and the families of workers on strike. New Food Not Bombs groups are starting every day in cities all over the world. We are also organizing gatherings to investigate new ways to bring peace and social justice to our world.
