HUNGER
United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) reports that everyday more than 800 million people know what it is to go to bed hungry. Some 50 million victims of man-made and natural disasters are threatened by acute hunger. Every day malnutrition is a significant factor in the deaths of 11,000 children. That's one child every eight seconds. The WFP also states that 24,000 people die every day from hunger and related causes.

Yet they say there is enough food in the world today for everyone to have the nourishment necessary for healthy and productive lives.
